Distance Teacher Education

	Royal University of Bhutan, Samtse College of Education Distance Teacher Education Programme

The Distance Teacher Education Programme (DTEP) at Samtse College of Education was introduced in December, 1995 to update and upgrade in-service primary school teachers.

Lead Teachers and In-service B.Ed(P) DE 2008 Winter Programme

a. The winter Residential School class for the teachers enrolled in the In-service B.Ed (P) by DE is scheduled from 7th January – 19th January 2008.

1. Teachers selected for admission in 2008 (New candidates) and Diploma last batch 2007 should reach Samtse by the evening of 5th January for Registration at 8:30 am on 6th January 2008.

2. Teachers of In-service B.Ed(P) I and II of 2007 should reach Samtse by the evening of 6th January 2008

b. The classes for the Lead Teachers Programme (English and Mathematics) are scheduled from 7th January – 2nd February 2008. The participants should reach Samtse by the evening of 6th January 2008.

Accommodation will be available in the college hostels at a nominal charge and a common mess will be arranged too. However, Family and cooking will not be entertained in the college hostels in any case as the college has shortage of rooms (394 participants against 312 beds available). The participants will have to arrange their own beddings, plates and Mugs.

The participants should inform the Dy. Chief Administrative Officer of the college latest by 25th of December 2007 for accommodation during office hours. The names of the participants will not be enlisted for accommodation in case of failing to inform as stated above.
